About Studies in Waterfox

Waterfox does not run product studies (also known as “Shield studies”) or remote feature rollouts. Telemetry and studies code paths are disabled, and there are no settings to enable them.

What this means:

  • The Studies section in Settings is not present in Waterfox.
  • The about:studies page will show no studies.
  • Preferences such as app.normandy.enabled and related settings have no effect in Waterfox because the underlying experiment system is disabled.

If you see references to studies in third‑party guides or screenshots, they apply to other browsers. Waterfox does not participate in experimentation programs.
