• As of 14:41 UTC+1, 22 May 2025, we are aware of an issue where websites containing certain media will play for a short amount of time before the browser crashes. Currently invesitgating and will push out a fix ASAP. As of 17:30 UTC+1, 22 May 2025, this has now been resolved and is being pushed live as v6.5.9.

Waterfox Private Search - Open Beta

We’ve recently launched Waterfox Private Search in open beta! This new meta-search engine is designed to provide a more private search experience with no tracking, no AI summaries stealing content from websites, and no annoying pop-ups or banners.

You can try it now at search.waterfox.net and read more about it in our announcement post.

Your feedback during this beta period will be invaluable as we work toward making this our default search option in future releases.
